ADDITIONAL FUNDRAISERS

For some victims of A.L.S. taking a deep breath is a difficult if not impossible task. Thankfully for Grace Probert the disease has not yet progressed to such great lengths. Although embroiled in her own battle with A.L.S., Grace is a champion for her fellow Patients with A.L.S. (PALS). Her involvement in local support groups extends beyond participation with her family acting as hosts for cookouts and other group functions.

Despite the obstacles she does endure everyday, it appears that even from her wheelchair, nothing is beyond Grace’s reach. The “Take Aim at A.L.S.” Tournament is only the latest in a long line of Grace’s personal crusades to help raise money for the fight against A.L.S.

“Take Aim at A.L.S.” Paintball Fundraiser

Participants are invited to Cape Cod Paintball in Bourne, MA to partake in a fun-filled day of tournament-style paintball activities. In it's simplest form, paintball brings together two opposing teams competing at a game of capture the flag. The game is played with a CO2 powered paintball gun, which propels a biodegradable gelatin capsule. These capsules break on impact leaving a "Splat" of (washable) water-soluble paint. This paint mark denotes that your opponent is "Out" or eliminated.

The exact game format will be determined upon arrival at Cape Cod Paintball. Competitions generally last no longer than 20 minutes allowing 6 to 10 games to be played during the day. All games are refereed to insure player safety and fair play.

Proceeds from the event benefit the A.L.S. Family Charitable Foundation, Inc.

Annual Fundraising Dinner to Honor Heath Millward

Each year the Butler Family proudly presents the Annual Memorial Dinner to honor the memory their son, Heath Millward, who lost his battle with A.L.S. Varying menus have netted the same result-a great night of fundraising for the fight against A.L.S.

Thanks to a gracious set of corporate sponsors and the support of wonderful friends, virtually all the money raised at the dinner goes to the A.L.S. Family Charitable Foundation.

As Heath lived an active lifestyle and enjoyed many outdoor activities, most notably skiing, the Butler Family traditionally makes a special request that the funds from the annual dinner benefit the Foundation’s Vacation fund.

Annual Holiday Appeal

During the holiday season, the A.L.S. Family Charitable Foundation makes a broad appeal to our supporters to make a donation to the A.L.S. Family Charitable Foundation, Inc. It is our hope that we help spread the spirit of giving while making an impact on the fight against A.L.S.

We ask that you remember those who suffer from A.L.S. and consider making a donation in honor of the person on your gift-giving list who has everything. (An acknowledgement will reach your special someone!)

A contribution is the perfect gift for everyone on your list! The donation will put a smile on the face of the receiver and it may just help save a life!
