2011 brought with it some amazing changes to our Foundation Family! Longtime sponsor, Lenny Ferrara of Superior Rail & Iron Works joined our board, as did loyal volunteer Terry Chalker of Chalker Heating & Fuel. They are both compassionate, hard working and innovative thinkers. We look forward to working closely with them.
Some recent changes around the office include the addition of Ernie Bliudnikas to the staff as our new Marketing Director. Ernie will manage the office, secure event sponsorships and help keep in touch with patients, sponsors and donors through our e-newsletter. After spending 18+ years working as an executive in retail for companies such as Lechmere, Target, and Filenes, Ernie began working for the Mashpee Chamber of Commerce and developed a love for local small businesses. In addition to working for the Foundation, he currently consults for several small businesses in the Upper Cape Area.
Former Marketing Director, Tara Cronin has come back to work part-time as our Communications Director. Tara will continue to garner event publicity, create our print newsletter and advertisements. Tara has been with the Foundation since 2005 and left briefly to take care of her expected new arrivals, twins, Macen and Maia born in January 2010. Tara came back to the Foundation, working part-time from home in September of 2010 and now works several days per week at the office in her new role.
Our goals for 2012 are to work together to strengthen our presence in new England through fundraisers and awareness events and to reach more patients.
